About Physiotherapy

What Is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a hands-on healthcare profession that helps you move better, recover from injury, and manage pain without surgery or medication. A physiotherapist assesses how your body moves, finds the root cause of your problem, and builds a treatment plan that gets you back to full strength.

At our Romford physiotherapy clinic, treatment combines manual therapy, targeted exercise, and modern equipment such as IDD spinal decompression, shockwave, and laser. Whether you are dealing with a sports injury, persistent back or neck pain, sciatica, or recovery after an operation, our physiotherapists tailor every session to you.

Many people come to physiotherapy in Romford expecting a single fix, but lasting results come from a clear plan. Your physiotherapist will explain what is causing your symptoms, what the treatment involves, and the exercises that keep the problem from coming back. No GP referral is needed, and most patients are seen within days.

Your initial consultation lasts 45–60 minutes. Your physiotherapist will take a full medical history, carry out a physical examination, and discuss a personalised treatment plan. Treatment usually begins during this first visit.

We treat a wide range of conditions including back pain, neck pain, sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, sciatica, frozen shoulder, knee injuries, arthritis, and work-related musculoskeletal problems.

Both professions treat musculoskeletal conditions, but physiotherapy tends to focus on exercise-based rehabilitation, movement analysis, and post-surgical recovery, while osteopathy uses more hands-on manual techniques. At our Romford physiotherapy clinic, our practitioners work together so you benefit from both approaches.
